  You flipped through your closet, looking for something to wear. Today you were going to your best friend Alfred’s house to hang out with him and his brother, Matthew.
  Apparently, Alfred thinks that you and Matt would hit it off. Frankly, though, you weren’t interested in dating at your age, and didn’t think one boy could change your mind.
  You found an outfit and got dressed. Just as you gave yourself a once-over, your phone started to ring. It was Alfred.
  “Hey Dude,” you answered, mocking him out
  “’Sup!” He replied, not noticing. You rolled your eyes. “You ready to go?”
  “Yeah,” you replied.
  “Good, ‘cause we’re waiting outside!”
  You looked out your window, and sure enough, Alfred was out there with another boy who you assumed to be Matthew. You laughed, having come to expect this from your eccentric friend. It looked like Matthew was holding some thing, but you couldn’t quite see it. You shrugged, and headed outside.
  “_______, this is my brother, Matt,” Alfred said “Matt, this is _______.”
  “H-Hello there,” Matthew said shyly
  “Hi Matt,” you replied. You were also shy around people you didn’t know, which is most likely why Alfred thought you guys would like each other. The three of you stood there for a little while until Alfred started to get bored.
  “This is stupid…” he said “Let’s go to my place.” And he took off running down the road, leaving you alone with Matthew.
  “G-Guess we should get going, huh?” Matthew said
  “Sounds good.” You agreed.
  As you were walking, you and Matthew talked about many different things. Matthew told you that not many people remembered him, not even his pet bear, who he showed you. You told him about school and your life. Then Matthew mentioned that he knew some French.
  “Really?” you asked. He nodded sheepishly. “Say something about me in French, and be honest.”
  “J’Taime,” he said, blushing “I love you…”
  “I- I’m sorry?” you said, surprised.
“I love you,” Matthew repeated, he face now a dark red “ Alfred talks about you a lot, and he showed me pictures. You’re even prettier in person, _______.” You smiled, flattered “_______, will you be my girlfriend?” Matthew asked, much to your joy and surprise.
  “Yes, Matthew, Ill be your girlfriend!” You said. Matt smiled
  “I guess we better catch up to Alfred, huh?” You nodded, and you and your new boyfriend took off to catch up to Alfred.
